It caused much indignation at the time, but sadly there seems to be no way to turn them off. Even Eric Lee's sites were plagued with them (he couldn't get rid of 'em either). Seems to be the price for 'free hosting' or what...

Well, honestly, the forum styling and clunky icons, etc is killing me, and I can't say I'll be a "regular" here or anything.
