the man who was thursday
Not quite sure if it's the right forum (would rather fit Zion's?), but anyway - there's a book I keep re-reading since many years and at the end it leaves me more befuddled each time than before. It's by G. K. Chesterton (disregard the religious connotations) , "The Man Who Was Thursday: A Nightmare".
I have it in translation only (an excellent one btw, I was almost disappointed by the original - something what happens only very rarely), but I found the full online version the other day:
http://www.bartleby.com/158/1.html
(it's short, light & easy - can be finished in 1-2 hrs)
Would love to see other's take on it.

ROFL!!!!! disregard the religious overtones? and you wonder why you do not understand the ending? i may yet begin to understand a few things anew. 'twould make as much sense to look upon a painting and say "disregard the colours"!!!!
lovely find, darling. lovely indeed.

Re: the man who was thursday
The Man who was Thursday is arguably G K Chesterton's finest book.Wonderfully written. Totally surreal.
